ALLPS kicked off their annual Black History Month celebration today!
Mr. Phil Reed from 40/29 served as master of ceremonies, guiding the program that honored community, culture, and inspiration. Mayor Molly Rawn opened the event with a warm and thoughtful welcome, setting the tone for the celebration.

The community spotlight highlighted St. James Food Pantry and their generous service and impact within our community. The celebration recognized D.J. Derrick and Kathy Johnson for their continued support of ALLPS, its students, and events throughout the year.

Featured guests and honorees included the Brewer and Gulley families. FPS alumni Ronnie Brewer and Fred Gulley participated in a Q&A session, sharing their experiences and offering motivation and encouragement to students.

The kickoff concluded with music by DJ Derrick and high-energy dancing led by Cardio Groove’s Kathy Johnson.

ALLPS will continue celebrating Black History Month throughout February with special guests, field trips, and student events that honor history, culture, and community. 💜
