Cristin Atha

The Fayetteville Board of Education will vote on Thursday, April 28 on the recommendation to name Cristin Atha as the Assistant Director of Assessment & Accountability. Atha is currently serving as the interim principal at Happy Hollow Elementary School. 

“I am happy to recommend Ms. Atha for this position,” said Superintendent Dr. John L Colbert. “Ms. Atha has proven herself as a dedicated team member at Happy Hollow, and I am confident she will provide the expertise we need as we grow our Assessment & Accountability team.  

Atha has served as the interim principal for the past year and as assistant principal at Happy Hollow for the previous six years. She also served as an assistant principal at Westside Elementary in Rogers. She has served as an elementary teacher in the Huntsville and Rogers School Districts. She received her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Arkansas Tech University in 2004, graduating magna cum laude. She received her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Harding University in 2008, and she is also a graduate of the English as a Second Language Academy. 

Fayetteville Public Schools will immediately begin the thorough and comprehensive process for selecting Happy Hollow’s next principal.
